Ergo

Can anyone recommend as place that I could buy a used Ergo Carrier? They're just so pricy. I was hoping there is someone out there ready to part one.

Scrapbook Saturday

I've not done as well as I would like keeping up with the boys scrapbooks. I did pretty good with Camden's, so-so with Cohen's and haven't even started one for Cutler. So I thought I would share scrapbook pages on Saturdays to keep myself in check. Maybe doing this will encourage me to get to work and create 5 pages a week. I'd like to get 10 a week done, but that may be a little too optimistic.

Camden's Fun Day

Today was Camden's last day of Kindergarten. Cohen and I attended his hallway pizza party (it was supposed to be outside but it was raining), and the fun activities in the gym. They had 3 different inflatable bounce house type activities. It was a great time! Here are some of the highlights:

Cohen's Graduation

Cohen's graduation went great! They sang the cutest songs! Here are some of the highlights:

(I cut my bangs this morning. They still look a little choppy. I think I'll wash and re-style)

Sick boy

Sorry I haven't posted my "Stretching a Dollar" segments this week. I have a sick boy at home. His fever has been fluctuating from 99.5 - 104.2! The Doctor thinks I should have taken him straight to the ER to be tested for flu, but my son has a VERY sensitive gag reflex and will vomit on command. I'm not entirely confident in our thermometers either. Right after I got off the phone with the doctor his temp was 103.3 and not the 104.2 that I had read just moments before. So off I headed to Walgreens and bought a new (better I hope!) thermometer along with more Tylenol and Motrin, and popsicles. I've been alternating between the 2 meds all day and evening and the temp hasn't broken yet. Although currently we are in a much safer range of 101.5 - 102.0. I'm going to try and wake up through the night to monitor his fever and continue our regiment of meds. I hope this breaks soon!

I just hate the idea of submitting my son to unnecessary lab work for the swine flu epidemic when it hasn't even hit our state yet. My son hasn't been anywhere that I would feel puts him at risk either. Plus, when you have the flu don't you generally vomit a lot? Maybe I'm wrong here but I don't think that vomiting immediately after taking medicine (that he hates by the way) is reason enough to rush to the ER. I've decided if his fever continues to climb tomorrow I will take him in. I've read plenty on the forums and boards that many mothers & pediatricians alike will recommend the wait and see approach with over the counter medicine for the first 24-48 hours. Tomorrow morning will be 24 hours and I'll take it from there!

So please keep our son in your thoughts and prayers! I'm exhausted (being 30 weeks pregnant doesn't help either!) and I'm really hoping for a few hours of straight sleep tonight. I hope Camden gets some rest. I'll keep you all posted!

My Birthday Cards

I just wanted to share with you the cute cards I got on my Birthday yesterday from Lou and Camden. The kid card would have been from Cohen too, but he was asleep and didn't get a chance to sign it.

Spring Break Drama

All week the boys went with me to work for their Spring Break. Not exactly fun. So yesterday Lou and I decided to take today off and take the boys to the Science Center in St. Louis, but...

Last night Cohen was playing at my Mom's and tripped/jumped on a 10 pound dumbbell. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but apparently it was a big deal! Cohen was VERY loud and upset. Mom got his socks and boots on and I carried him home. He sat in the recliner and fell asleep watching cartoons. I assumed he would be better in the morning, but he cried in his sleep.

So this morning our plans to go to St. Louis were cancelled when Cohen couldn't or wouldn't walk on his foot. I would rather be safe than sorry, so off to the ER we went. We got in and out pretty quickly and were informed that nothing was broken!!! Yay! He's feeling better now. He's walking with a limp and favoring the front of his foot, using his heel to get around. It's kinda cute. :-)

Rock Tumbler

I went shopping in St. Louis with my friend Jaime this weekend and while I was out I found a Smithsonian Rock Tumbler at Goodwill for only $8.00 and I just had to buy it. Camden was really excited...but I have to say that I'm really tired of all the noise that thing makes. Tomorrow night we get to open it up to see how the rocks look after 48 hours of tumbling with the coarse grit. Then we have the fine grit followed by the polish powder. I can't wait to see the finished product, but after tomorrow the tumbler is heading down to the basement! I'm not sure I can handle much more of the constant noise! ha ha ha!!!
